Starte den Computer neu und öffnen das BIOS-Menü von dem System dies funktioniert normalerweise mit Entfernen oder Alt + F4

Wähle Restore Defaults und danach Save & Exit aus und starte den Computer neu und öffne das BIOS-Menü erneut bearbeite den Processor-Abschnitt und aktiviere die Intel Virtualization Technology oder AMD-V diese Werte können auf manchen Maschinen auch den Namen Virtualization Extensions haben und abschließend Save & Exit schalte die Maschine aus und nimm das System zusätzlich vom Netz vor einem Neustart

Führe egrep ‚(vmx|svm)‘ /proc/cpuinfo aus falls der Befehl eine Ausgabe liefert sind die Virtualisierungserweiterungen nunmehr aktiviert und wenn keine Ausgabe erscheint verfügt das System eventuell nicht über die Virtualisierungserweiterungen oder es wurde nicht richtig im BIOS-Menü aktiviert

   Es ist allgemein bekannt dass man über SSH auf die Shell eines ESXi Servers zugreifen kann dies ist zwar nur in Ausnahmefällen erforderlich in erster Linie für das Troubleshooting und es erlaubt die Nutzung der verschiedenen Kommandozeilen Tools des Hosts bei dieser Gelegenheit lässt sich auch die menügeführte gelb-graue Oberfläche (DCUI) remote aufrufen
