VMware vSphere Hypervisor (ESXi 8.x) – can’t get the USB Fling to work because the installation hangs right around 73% with the error ‚Exception: No vmknic tagged for management was found‘

At this point you can reboot the host and do a few manual things to get the management on that NIC working so login to the Direct Console User Interface (DCUI) of ESXi and use the ‚Restore Network Settings‘ menue
