The German Hospital Sector – has high levels of hospital availability

OECD_logo   Germany has traditionally had one of the highest levels of hospital availability amongst OECD countries. With 8.3 hospital beds per 1000 population in 2010, Germany ranked behind only Japan and Korea in terms of hospital bed capacity  Germany also has the fifth highest number of hospitals, with some 40 hospitals per million people compared to an average of 30 hospitals per million people across 26 OECD countries
