Formula 1 – Kinetic Energy Recovery Systems (KERS)

In this 2009 Formula One season, all vehicles are required to be equipped with KERS or Kinetic Energy Recovery Systems. KERS is designed to help recover and use up some of the kinetic energy in the racecar that is usually lost to heat each time the driver hits the brakes. Energy saving is the Formula One bid to show the world how even racecars can help conserve energy. Basically, the energy is stored until the time the racing driver decides to use this revered energy as a type of boost while acceleratingformula1_kers_01.jpg
