It is possible to reclaim Network Managed Volume storage allocation units (SAUs) from DataCore virtual volumes mapped to Application Servers after files have been deleted. Basically, this process consists of filling any disk space that was previously used (allocated), but currently unused, with zeros, then running the DataCore Utility DcsNmvCleanup.exe. This command line utility will deallocate any storage allocation units (SAUs) filled with zeros so that the SAUs are returned to the NMV pool
